The Mind that Father Made

The Mind that Father Made is a collection of science fiction short stories ranging from tales of exploration in “Operation Mars” and “Sun Burn Bright” to a tale of an alternate history in the titular “The Mind that Father Made” where Britain never won the Second World War and our hero wakes up to a Communist-controlled country. There’s also “Technomicide” where a renegade A.I. is killing off humans. Then there’s the spooky “Dark Calls the Dark” where a juvenile vampire is trying to make changes to a life full of killing and corrupted blood. And let’s not forget our tales of revenge and bloodletting in “Witch Child” and “Faith”. In “Witch Child” a father seeks revenge for the destruction of his family by getting rid of a monster only to find a new one created in its place. In “Faith” a suicide bomber realises too late that her goals are misplaced and that her ruthless actions will only make more enemies of the people who oppress her. READ EXCERPTS

The Grim Reaper

The Grim Reaper follows a veteran of an unknown war who’s seeking revenge on the soldiers in his unit who tried to kill him. He leaves the veterans’ hospital after his injuries are sufficiently healed. Now he goes on the hunt for the people who did this to him. Along the way he’ll meet several characters who warn him about the perils of revenge, and in the end he must decide which is more important: getting his revenge or getting a new life. This story is part of an anthology series I’m currently working on. You can download a PDF of the manuscript, the Grim Reaper, by clicking on the button above.                          READ MORE

Bad Guys Finish First

Bad Guys Finish First is a story that deals with bullying and sees Ade, a teenager, who’s still in high school try to join a gang to protect himself from the bully in his life. But nothing is ever given for free and his initiation into the gang carries a certain caveat that has monstrous connotations and will change him forever. The story shows the lure of Wolf’s motorcycle gang, why one might consider being part of such a twisted family: it all has to do with acquisition of power. Wolf exercises it over his gang members and now so must Ade. This play was one of five runner-ups in a competition for a South London Theatre production. READ MORE
